VAN - Van Governor Hikmet Tan said on Monday that three Turkish soldiers died and three others were injured a when remote control mine planted by terrorist organization PKK/KONGRA-GEL detonated in Gurpinar town of eastern Van province.
Tan stated that remote control mine detonated near a vehicle carrying soldiers which was on its way from Yalinca police station to Gurpinar town.
Stating that injured soldiers were taken to a hospital, Tan said that security forces have launched an operation to capture the terrorists.
