ISTANBUL - U.S. President George Bush met on Sunday with religious leaders.
Bush, currently in Istanbul to attend NATO summit, met with Ali Bardakoglu, the head of Religious Affairs Department, Istanbul Mufti Mustafa Cagirici, Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew, Armenian Patriarch Mutafyan, Chief Rabbi Ishak Haleva and Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan Yusuf Cetin.
Bush said the religious leaders represented the best part of Turkey, stating that Turkey was secular in its policy and strong in its belief.
