ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - The US President George W. Bush arrived in Istanbul on Sunday afternoon to attend the NATO summit.
George Bush and accompanying delegation arrived in Istanbul following completion of the talks in Ankara.
US President is to meet with spiritual leaders of and to come together with Secretary General of NATO Jaap De Hoop Scheffer today. On Monday, George W. Bush will attend the NATO meeting.
Meanwhile, the leaders of the NATO members and partner countries continue to gather in Istanbul for NATO Summit.
The Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis, Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Medgyess, Latvian President Vaira Vike, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini and Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari have arrived in Istanbul to attend the NATO summit. The arriving leaders were received by the Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yýldýrým and Turkish Foreign Ministry officials.
