US President Moves To Istanbul After Ankara Talks

ANKARA (CIHAN) - The US President George W. Bush completed his talks in Turkish capital Ankara and moved to Istanbul to attend the NATO Summit.
US President held talks with the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday morning. Two leaders held nearly one-hour meeting in the Turkish Prime Ministry office.
US President and accompanying delegation, under massive security measures, visited the Mausoleum of the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush were welcomed by the Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer with a state ceremony in presidential palace. Two leaders met at the working meal.
The US President later moved to Istanbul to meet with spiritual leaders and to come together with Secretary General of NATO Jaap De Hoop Scheffer today. On Monday, George W. Bush will attend the NATO meeting.
