SIVAS - Forty-five people were injured when a cargo train collided with another train early on Saturday in Sarkisla town of the central Anatolian province of Sivas.
Turkish Railways (TCDD) General Directorate said the cargo train heading from Ankara to the eastern province of Malatya collided with 4 Eylul Mavi Train at 6:20 a.m. after the cargo train violated red signal.
Those injured were immediately hospitalized.
Officials earlier put the number injured at 5 and there was no immediate reason for the discrepancy in reports of injured.
