Gül: It Is Not Possible To Send Turkish Soldiers To Iraq For The Time Being

ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - The Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Abdullah Gül said on Saturday that it was not possible to send Turkish soldiers to Iraq for the time being.
Attending a meeting organized by the US German Marshall Fund and the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV), Gül answered reporters' questions after the meeting.
Gül stated, "NATO has no plans to send soldiers to Iraq. It is not possible to send Turkish soldiers to Iraq for the moment."
Answering a question on Turkey's role in the Black Sea and the Caucasus, Gül said that Turkey was active in these regions and was making great efforts to help provide solutions to problems there - "Turkey is ready to share its experiences in order to ensure peace and stability in the region".
