Turkish Health Minister: We Will Also Start Action Plan Of E.U. On Children Health

BUDAPEST - Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag said on Thursday that Turkey would also start action plan of the European Union (EU) on children health.
Akdag addressed a conference on ''Children and Environment Health'' during the Fourth Meeting of Environment and Health Ministers of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Hungarian capital Budapest.
Akdag told A.A correspondent regarding the meeting that it was an important organization both for Turkey and for the countries of the world. He said that the main topic of the meeting was children and environment health.
Akdag said that they would start a campaign under children health program, adding that they would like to carry out the campaign together with press organs, Health Ministry, National Education Ministry and non-governmental organizations.
Noting that they had the chance to discuss the issue with the experts during the meeting, Akdag said that they, as Turkish Health Ministry, would start action plan of the EU on children health.
Akdag will return to Turkey tomorrow after the final statement of the meeting will be released and he will hold a press conference regarding the issue in Istanbul.
