BUDAPEST - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin said on Thursday that Turkey's accession to the European Union (EU) would be interest of not only itself, but also its 70 million population would have an important contribution to the economy of EU.
Aydin addressed an international conference entitled ''Future of Europe'' in Andrassy Gyula German University in Budapest.
Aydin told A.A correspondent after the conference that he firstly explained reforms which Turkish government has adopted in the last two years, secondly who would have interests with Turkey's accession to the EU and what those interests would be and finally objections to Turkey's accession to the EU and answers to these objections.
Aydin said that Turkey's accession to the EU would be interest of not only itself, but also its 70 million population would have an important contribution to the economy of EU.
Aydin will return to Turkey tomorrow.
