12 Illegal Organization Members Detained In Ankara

ANKARA (CIHAN) - Ankara anti-terror teams captured 12 people on Tuesday evening, who were suspected of being member of the Tekfir wing of the outlawed radical Selefi terror organization, ahead of a visit of US President Bush to Ankara.
Ankara anti-terror teams, with a court order from the Ankara State Security Court, raided 15 houses across Ankara Tuesday evening. In the raids, police detained 12 people who were accused of being members of the radical Selefi terror organization.
In the raid, police seized several training documents and CDs.
The 12 detainees were brought before the Ankara State Security Court today following their interrogation in the Ankara Security Authority.
Seven men, suspected of being members of Ansar Al Islam, were detained in coordinated anti-terror operations in Istanbul last week.
