ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to meet with French President Jacques Chirac on July 19.
This meeting has a special importance as France was among the countries having a say in starting of full membership negotiations with the European Union (EU).
Meanwhile, it was reported that EU Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen is expected to visit Turkey on July 22.
Evaluations would be made on two separate reports which the EU Commission would prepare as well as the Progress Report in Ankara's meetings with the EU.
As well as the Progress Report, the EU Commission will prepare an evaluation report regarding functioning of accession partnership strategy which continued with Turkey for five years, and another report questioning how the EU institutions would be affected in case of Turkey's EU full membership.
