LEFKOSA - Remains of five Turkish Cypriots who were killed during the island`s inter-communal clashes in 1964 and 1974 are set to be buried with full military honors on Friday.
Experts with a UN-backed project to trace missing persons have earlier identified the five Turkish Cypriots as Fehim Huseyin and Kamil Huseyin Kusuri who were killed in 1964, and Ahmet Cemal, Erdogan Enver, and Unal Adil, who were killed in 1974.
The scientists, who work for the Committee for Missing Persons on Cyprus, are trying to match DNA from the skeletons they have exhumed with DNA samples taken from the families of the missing persons.
