Preparations Start For Privatization Of National Lottery

ANKARA - Preparations have started for privatization of National Lottery, sources told A.A on Monday.
National Lottery will be privatized with one of the methods of "yields sharing" or "handover of license up to ten years".
A sub-commission comprised of officials from Privatization Administration and National Lottery is working on infrastructure activities for privatization of the lottery.
Meanwhile, one Turkish and one foreign consultant companies are also working for the privatization of National Lottery. Turkish Ernst Young Institutional Financing Consultancy Corp. and Qlot Consulting AB are working on feasibility activities.
One of the privatization methods will be selected by March, 2008. Officials are planning to hold auction in May, and National Lottery would be privatized by the end of 2008.
In 2009, the firm which won the auction will set up technical infrastructure.
