Talabani: We Have A Common Understanding

ANKARA - Patriotic Union of Iraqi Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani said on Tuesday that they had a common understanding with Turkey and expressed his satisfaction with the consequences.
Talabani, who came to Ankara overnight, met with Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.
Replying to questions of journalists following the meeting, Talabani said that all elements in the region and most of members of the terrorist organization of PKK were against a likely war.
''A war against Turkey is a war against democracy. Everyone wants peace and stability in the region,'' Talabani added.
