ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - The Consumer Confidence Index prepared by the State Statistics Institute (DIE) and Turkish Central Bank (CB) decreased by 3.3 point from 111 to 107.3 in May.
The most important reason for the decrease in the Consumer Confidence Index, which evaluates the expenditure attempts, consuming habits and expectations of consumers, is that consumers' expectations for the general economic situation in Turkey deteriorated in May 2004.
