BURSA - Bursa's exports from the sector of textile rose 23.2 percent and from ready-to-wear clothing sector increased 37.5 percent in January 2008 when compared with the same month of 2007.
According to the data from Uludag Exporters' Association (UIB), exports from the sectors of textile and ready-to-wear clothing amounted to 144.3 million U.S. dollars in January 2008.
The textile sector exported its products to 84 countries and autonomous regions and 8 free zones while the ready-to-wear clothing sector exported its products to 67 countries and autonomous regions and 5 free zones last month.
