One Police Officer Wounded As Placard Bomb Explodes

ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - A bomb expert was wounded in Istanbul on Tuesday morning when a bomb tied to placards exploded.
The illegal placard was hung from an overpass in the Bahcelievler quarter of Istanbul on Tuesday morning. Police officers arriving at the scene cordoned off the overpass and closed the road to traffic.
Bomb expert Gültekin Yilmaz was wounded when the bomb detonated during an attempt to lower the placard. Yilmaz was taken to Bakirköy State Hospital where he is in reportedly good condition.
