ANKARA - Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Thursday that the cooperation among French authorities, Turkish General Staff and Turkish Airlines in evacuating Turkish citizens from Chad has been appreciated.
"French authorities have welcomed our request for evacuation of Turks, including a representative of the Turkish Red Crescent Aid Society, from Chad. Within this framework, a group of Turkish citizens have been carried to surrounding countries via French military planes. Six other Turkish citizens came to Turkey via a Turkish Airlines passenger jet on February 6th. Turkish MFA appreciates the cooperation between French officials, Turkish General Staff and Turkish Airlines in evacuating Turks from Chad," the Turkish MFA noted.
