ANKARA - Air traffic --which was halted at Ankara's Esenboga Airport early on Thursday-- resumed after fog dissipates.
Early in the morning, visibility dropped below 50 meters at the airport due to fog, and airport authorities delayed or cancelled flights from the Airport.
On the other hand, 330 village roads are close in eastern Anatolia due to heavy snow and blizzard.
Temperatures in eastern provinces of Erzurum was -33 degrees Celsius, Agri -31, Ardahan -29, Kars -27, Bayburt -22 and Erzincan -20 degrees Celsius on Wednesday night.
Snow thickness in Bayrburt is 45 centimeters, Kars 40 cm, Ardahan 37 cm, Agri 35 cm, Erzincan 27 cm and Erzurum 21 cm.
Meteorology officials said that the freezing cold wave will be influential till Sunday in the region.
