Erdogan: Turkey Records Important Progress In Foreign Policy

ISTANBUL - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that Turkey recorded important progress in foreign policy.
Speaking at General Assembly of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), Erdogan said serious organizations were held in Turkey within this year to open to the world.
Erdogan recalled that the 75th Congress of the World Association of Newspapers (WAN), the Second Conference of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Ministers Responsible for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs) and the 31st session of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Foreign Ministers` Conference were held in Istanbul.
Erdogan said Turkey`s becoming Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary-General and OIC`s decision to accept TRNC as ``Turkish Cypriot State`` showed the progress recorded in foreign policy.
Erdogan said, ``this can not be disregarded. Turkey reached highest level in representation in international community by undertaking OIC Secretariat General.``
Erdogan said betterment of Turkish economy rapidly was appreciated by the world, stating that, ``now that it is the duty of all of us to maintain this development.``
Erdogan said concession could not be made to economic program, stating that, ``those who cannot comply with competition will lose and those who survive will continue to progress on their path.``
