LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat said on Friday that period of application to Compensation Commission was extended for one year starting as of June 30.
One year had been given to real and legal bodies, claiming rights on immovables, for application to the Compensation Commission.
Talat said, ''in order to integrate with the world, first of all we should talk the same language with the world. We wish the property problem to be solved just like the steps we have taken on human rights, missing persons, democracy and adjustment laws. We want solution, not problem.''
Talat said 65 percent of Turkish Cypriot people voted ''yes'' in the referendum on April 24, and that this proved that Turkish Cypriot people wanted solution and integrate with the European Union and the world.
