LEFKOSA - Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Momodu Koroma of Sierra Leone departed from Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Friday.
Koroma, who arrived in TRNC on Thursday, was received separately by TRNC President Rauf Denktas and Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat.
Koroma stated that relations with TRNC would be further improved as a result of decisions that were taken in the 31st session of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Foreign Ministers in Istanbul. Koroma noted that they were ready to share their experiences on economic, political and cultural fields with TRNC.
A decision was made at the 31st Session of the Islamic Conference of the Foreign Ministers that TRNC would be represented at the OIC under the name of ''Turkish Cypriot State'' as it was envisaged in the United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan.
