Turkish Industry And Trade Minister Goes To France

ANKARA - Turkish Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun went to France to attend the European Research Coordination Agency (EUREKA) ministerial conference, his office said on Thursday.
Turkish Industry and Trade Ministry stated that Coskun would return to Turkey after representing Turkey at the conference on Friday.
EUREKA was established by the EU to encourage search and development of products and services and technologies which will increase competitive power of European industrial and research organizations in the world.
This agency also serves the goal to make joint projects among countries.
Turkey was the term president of EUREKA between 1998 and 1999. EUREKA currently has 33 member countries.
France is the current term president of EUREKA, and will hand over the presidency to Czech Republic on July 1, 2004.
