Mehmet Okur's Detroit Piston Clinch NBA Title

DETROIT (CÝHAN) - Detroit Pistons crushed the Los Angels Lakers 100-87 on their way to the NBA championship on Tuesday.
Turkish power forward Mehmet Okur, playing for Detroit, played 7 minutes in the 5th game of the series and scored 7 points to help his team secure the championship. Surely, the NBA title is the best wedding present for Mehmet Okur who will marry in the next few days.
The Pistons won the best of seven series 4-1.
Richard Hamilton collected 21 point while Ben Wallace notched 18 points and 22 rebounds to lead the Pistons.
Kobe Bryant`s 24 point was not enough to pull the dejected Los Angels Lakers out of their slump. Shaquille O`neal added 20 point for Lakers.
