Turkish Foreign Minister Gul Meets With Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov

ISTANBUL - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met on Wednesday with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov, who came to Istanbul yesterday to participate in the 31st Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, had a breakfast with Gul.
Russia wants to be member of the 31st Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) on observer status since there is Muslim minority in Russia. Lavrov will address OIC General Assembly within that scope today.
Lavrov will also meet with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat today.
