Izmir Mayor Piristina Passes Away

IZMIR - Izmir Mayor Ahmet Piristina, 52, died of a heart attack on Tuesday.
Sources told the A.A correspondent that Piristina died of a heart attack in a municipal lodging in Karsiyaka district.
Piristina born in Izmir on April 8, 1952, was elected as mayor in local elections in 1999. He was re-elected in the local elections on March 28, 2004.
