ISTANBUL - Sixth meeting of countries neighboring Iraq will take place in Istanbul within the scope of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) foreign ministers meeting.
Representatives of Turkey, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt will join the meeting. Iraq will join the meeting for the second time.
As Saudi Arabia and Jordan did not join the OIC meeting in foreign ministry level, they will be represented in Iraq meeting in lower level.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher is expected to arrive at Istanbul today. UN Special Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi will also attend the meeting.
The seventh meeting is expected to take place in Egypt in July.
The first meeting of the process, which started aiming to contribute to reconstruction of Iraq, had taken place in Istanbul.
The previous meetings had taken place in Istanbul, Riyadh, Tehran, Damascus and Kuwait.
