ANKARA - Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok said on Monday that Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) which was the guarantee of Turkish nation against separatist terrorist organization and fundamentalist circles which continued insistently their sneaky actions, would continue its struggle with determination and without being influenced by internal and external propaganda.
Ozkok released a message to mark the 165th anniversary of Turkish Gendarme General Command.
In his message, Ozkok said that as parallel to rapid change after the Cold War, risks and threats which affected negatively security and internal stability of countries showed diversity. He stressed that security forces had difficulties in fight against current risks and threats since these ``asymmetric threats``, especially international terrorism, benefited from current technology and tried to organize at international level.
Ozkok noted that success in ensuring security could be provided with better trained and experienced personnel, a better coordination and cooperation between security units, making better use of technology, finding more creative solutions, establishing better communication with people and making people conscious of risks and threats.
He stressed that Gendarme General Command served people in the country with great self-sacrifice and excitement.
Stating that Gendarme General Command made successful services across the country in fight against terrorism and also fundamentalist threat, Ozkok said that Gendarme General Command also contributed to many initiatives to make people conscious of environment and make Turkey a more beautiful country.
Ozkok stressed that TSK which was the guarantee of Turkish nation against separatist terrorist organization which thought that it could weaken the State by restarting bloody actions and fundamentalist circles which continued insistently their sneaky actions, would continue its struggle with determination and without being influenced by internal and external propaganda.
