Turkish Cabinet Is To Convene Today

ANKARA (CÝHAN) - The Turkish cabinet is to convene today at 2:00 pm in the Turkish Prime Ministry for a meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Turkish Cabinet, normally meets on Mondays, did not convene yesterday due the to 31st Foreign Minister Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conferences held in Istanbul. The cabinet is to convene at 14:00 pm on Tuesday.
Topics to be discussed include the European Union (EU), the release of the former the Kurdish Democracy Party (DEP) deputies, the statements of the DEP deputies and the call for a ceasefire by the deputies.
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Abdullah Gül will update the cabinet on negotiation with the DEP deputies. A reaction is expected from the Council of Ministers to the calls for a ceasefire and the statements of the pro-Kurdish Democratic People Party (DEHAP).
