Foreign Ministers Of Asia Group Convene

ISTANBUL - Foreign ministers of Asia group convened at the 31st Session of the Organization of the Islamic conference (OIC) Foreign Ministers on Monday.
Sources said that the election of OIC secretary general was discussed, however a consensus was not reached between sides yet in the meeting.
Sources noted that sides agreed that countries which nominated for the office of OIC secretary general would decide who would be the OIC secretary general and added that if sides did not reach a consensus on the issue, an election would be held.
Turkey, Malaysia and Bangladesh have nominees for the office of OIC secretary general.
