ISTANBUL - A draft on Cyprus in which Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was acknowledged as ''Turkish Cypriot State'' under the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) was passed from political committee formed under the 31st OIC Foreign Ministers' Conference, sources said on Monday.
Sources told the A.A correspondent that Cyprus draft which was earlier prepared by high-level diplomats of OIC countries in Jeddah was accepted without any change in political committee in Istanbul on Monday.
It was expected that the mentioned draft would be approved by OIC foreign ministers on Wednesday if there was not any change in the draft, sources noted.
Draft acknowledges TRNC as ''Turkish Cypriot State'' as in U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan on Cyprus and gives messages on lifting economic and political isolation on TRNC.
