ANKARA - Turkish Ambassador to Israel Feridun Sinirlioglu and Turkish Consul General in Jerusalem Huseyin Avni Bicakli returned to the region after being recalled for consultations in Ankara.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Friday that Sinirlioglu and Bicakli, who had been in Ankara since June 8, returned to the region yesterday.
During the meetings, recent developments in the Middle East and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's unilateral withdrawal from Gaza were assessed.
Noting that Sinirlioglu and Bicakli had been summoned to Ankara for a short period of time, sources added that it was not a reaction against Israel, but a routine domestic affair.
