BISHKEK - Turkish National Education Minister Huseyin Celik has said that along with economic, political and social globalization, there is an evil called 'global terrorism' in the world.
Speaking at opening session of international conference ''Eurasia in 21st Century: Dialogue of Cultures or Clash of Civilizations?'' organized by UNESCO in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday, Celik stressed that civilizations were joint assets of humanity.
Celik noted that the point that humanity reached should be the point where supremacy of law, democracy and common values met. ''Religion, language, ethnic roots and every kind of differences should be acknowledged as different colors of the world. On the day of acceptance of these differences as different colors of rainbow, we have actually resolved many problems.''
Recalling that people had been talking about dialogue among cultures, tolerance, non-alienation, peace and tranquility, Celik stressed that those concepts could not prevail in the world.
Noting that although globalization had several positive impacts, it had also very serious side effects, Celik said, ''along with economic, political and social globalization, there is an evil called 'global terrorism' in the world.''
Stressing that they condemned every kind of terrorism whatever its source, religion and reason were, Celik said that humanity should have already known in the 21st century that bloodshed and violence could not bring solution.
Meanwhile, Celik was later received by Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev.
