ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts rose 1 billion 73 million U.S. dollars to 68 billion 155 million U.S. dollars between May 21 and 28, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 67 billion 82 million U.S. dollars on May 21.
Foreign exchange deposits climbed 783 million U.S. dollars to 51 billion 300 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits rose 677 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 608 million U.S. dollars and external foreign exchange deposits climbed 106 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 692 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market rose 13 million U.S. dollars to 725 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts climbed 63 million U.S. dollars from 16 billion 855 million U.S. dollars on May 28 to 16 billion 918 million U.S. dollars as of June 4.
