ANKARA - Two assailants hurled a bomb into a mobile phone shop in the eastern Turkish city of Malatya on Friday, injuring two people inside, the Anatolia news agency reported.
Based on witness accounts, police detained three people and had invited the shop owners to identify them, the agency said. There were no more details about the suspects.
One of the assailants who threw the percussion bomb was a woman, Anatolia reported.
It was not immediately clear who was behind the blast which came a day after five people were killed and 68 others were wounded in a powerful car bomb attack in Diyarbakir, the main city in Turkey's mainly Kurdish populated southeast.
There has been no claim of responsibility for Thursday's attack, but senior officials have put the blame on the separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
The PKK, fighting for self-rule in southest Turkey since 1984 and listed as a terrorist group by much of the international community, had threatened to retaliate against Turkish air strikes on its bases in northern Iraq last month.
