Sweden Supports Turkey's E.U. Membership Bid, Ambassador

HATAY - Swedish Ambassador to Turkey Christer Asp said Wednesday his country supported Turkey's EU membership bid.
Asp had a meeting with (southern province) Hatay Governor Ahmet Kayhan.
There was a high number of Turkish people living in Sweden and several Swedish companies were operating in Turkey, Asp stated.
"Turkey is a growing country. We support Turkey's full EU membership. We believe Turkey's membership will yield several favorable outcomes," Asp said.
Asp stated they considered cross-border operation conducted by Turkey (into the north of Iraq) rightful when he replied to a question.
