LEFKOSA - President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Mehmet Ali Talat is set to arrive in Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday on a two-day visit.
Talat is scheduled to meet his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan, Foreign Minister Ali Babacan and Chief of General Staff Gen. Yasar Buyukanit.
Talat's visit would come ahead of Turkish president's prospective visit to the United States and it is of great importance in this regard, a Turkish Cypriot presidential spokesman said Wednesday.
