ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met on Thursday with U.S. Congressman and Turkish-U.S. Friendship Group Co-Chairman Robert Wexler.
Following the meeting, Wexler told reporters that relations between Turkey and the United States were more honest and reliable when compared with the past.
Wexler said that he had very positive meetings with Gul and other officials and took up all dimensions of bilateral relations.
There were many common interests and issues on which two countries should cooperate, Wexler stated.
Wexler added that two countries had strong relations.
