GENEVA - Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu on Tuesday presented Turkey's cheque worth of 100 thousand U.S. dollars as contribution to Palestinian fund formed within International Labor Organization (ILO).
Basesgioglu who attended the 92nd Working Conference of ILO, presented the cheque to ILO Director General Juan Somavia.
Basesgioglu, who made a brief statement here, thanked to Director General for the report he prepared on ''situation of workers on Arab territories under occupation'' and noted that this report revealed the seriousness of the economic, social and humanitarian cost of chronicle insolubility in the Middle East.
Wishing interest and support of ILO to continue on Palestinian issue, Basesgioglu said, ''I am pleased to make a modest contribution to Palestinian Fund on behalf of my government. Turkey attributes great importance to putting road map into practice and reaching a peaceful solution soon through talks.''
