Police Chief Says Seven Injured In The Blast

ISTANBUL - Istanbul Police Chief Celalettin Cerrah said 7 people were injured in an explosion earlier Tuesday evening in Istanbul's Kucukcekmece district.
A bomb went off in a trash can outside a shop close to Kucukcekmece police department.
Cerrah said six of the wounded suffered slight injuries and one of them underwent a surgical operation.
Authorities initially put the number of the injured at two. Reason for the discrepancy was not immediately clear.
