ANKARA - Devlet Bahceli, chairman of opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), said Tuesday the government's efforts to have PKK terrorists return home from mountains were the first step of a comprehensive political scenario.
"Mr. Prime Minister's contradictory statements emanate from his worries to hide his preparations for a political amnesty," Bahceli told his party group meeting in the parliament.
He said such legal arrangements were made in the past, however, did not work to eradicate terrorism.
"Murderer terrorists will return from mountains, and they will join the society without any legal proceedings. Moreover, they will be given financial aid and jobs as a reward. They also will be able to get into politics in Ankara. This is the essence of Mr. Prime Minister's project that he is trying to market with flowery titles," he added.
