Cargo Ship Runs Aground At Istanbul Strait

ISTANBUL - A Liberian cargo ship ran aground off Ahirkapi at Istanbul Strait on Tuesday.
The accident happened at 4 a.m. when the ship "Southgate" was weighing anchor.
Turkish tug-boats have rushed to the scene of the accident to rescue the Liberian cargo ship.
Authorities said preliminary reports have not indicated any environmental pollution. "Efforts are under way to rescue the ship," they also said.
