Ankara Municipality To Privatize Natural Gas Distribution Services

ANKARA - Ankara Metropolitan Municipality will privatize "Baskent Natural Gas Distribution Corp." -- a company that distributes natural gas to the Turkish capital.
The municipality published a notice in the Official Gazette and said it will privatize 100 percent of the company by block sale method.
The company has a registered capital of 700 million new Turkish liras (YTL). (One USD is 1.1840 YTL)
Bidders can get tender specifications from the Financial Services Department of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality till 11 a.m. on February 26th, 2008 -- the day when the bargaining will take place.
The bargaining is expected to start at Ankara's Altinpark Anfa A Hall at 2 p.m. However, bidders will have to join an auction if the auction committee deems it necessary.
