ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Monday that he got support from President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt for ending of isolation of Turkish Cypriots and establishment of economic relations.
Gul, who returned to Turkey after completing his visit to Egypt, replied to questions of reporters at Ankara's Esenboga Airport.
Reminding the reporters that he met with Arab League Secretary General Amr Mussa as well as Mubarak, Gul said election of Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Cyprus, Iraq, Palestine and Greater Middle East Project were discussed in his meetings.
Stating that Greater Middle East Project was discussed in Egypt the most, Gul said he was asked whether or not Turkey was a part of this project. Gul said he explained this in details and noted that, ''as Turkey, we are not involved in any project.''
