Number Of Tourists Visiting Turkey Up 15.4 P.C. In November

ANKARA - The total number of tourists visiting Turkey was up 15.4 percent in November 2007 as compared with November 2006.
"1,177,475 tourists arrived in Turkey in November 2007," according to figures of the Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK). This figure was 1,020,106 in November 2006.
Germans mostly preferred Turkey as a tourist destination in this month. Iranian, Bulgarian, Russian, Georgian, American, British, Azerbaijani, Greek and French tourists followed them.
On the other hand, the number of tourists visiting Turkey was up 18.2 percent in the first eleven months of 2007.
22,321,988 tourists arrived in Turkey between January and November 2007. This number was only 18,892,865 in the same period of 2006.
