Exports From Gap Region Increases

GAZIANTEP - Exports from Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region in the first five months of 2004 increased 77 percent to 498 million 669 thousand U.S. dollars.
Southeast Anatolian Exporters' Association told the A.A on Monday that exports of grain-cereals increased from 40 million 243 thousand U.S. dollars to 80 million 534 thousand U.S. dollars, and exports of dried-fruits rose from 25 million 845 thousand U.S. dollars to 39 million 862 thousand U.S. dollars in the January-May period of the year.
Exports of textiles climbed from 200 million 110 thousand U.S. dollars to 307 million 898 thousand U.S. dollars in the same period.
