ANKARA - Turkish General Staff announced Tuesday that in operations waged against terrorist organization PKK on December 16th and 22nd, around 150-175 terrorists were rendered ineffective.
According to the Turkish General Staff, the number given above does not include terrorists who were rendered ineffective in hide-outs and caves that crumbled and that dozens of injured terrorists were taken to hospitals in Irbil, Raniyah, Kaladiza and Choman.
Turkish General Staff indicated that, in cross border operations, 3 command and 2 communications centers, 2 training centers, 9 logistics centers, 182 hide-outs/caves, 10 anti- aircraft defense sites and 14 ammunition storages belonging to terrorist organization PKK, were completely destroyed.
Turkish General Staff stressed that all allegations made during an Iraqi press conference on December 24th that civilians were killed due to Turkish attacks were in contradiction with the realities. Such allegations do not represent the truth as no civilians were the target of Turkish Armed Forces, Turkish General Staff underlined.
Further operations by the Turkish Army will continue with the same determination, Turkish General Staff remarked.
