Minimum Wage Fixing Commission's Third Meeting Ends

ANKARA - The Minimum Wage Fixing Commission`s third meeting to determine minimum wages in 2008 has ended on Monday.
The commission will re-convene on Thursday to determine the minimum wages for the year 2008.
The commission consists of five representatives of workers, five representatives of employers and five government representatives.
The minimum wage is currently net 419 new Turkish liras (YTL) for workers above 16. (1 USD=1.19 YTL)
The government program for 2008 foresees six percent rise in minimum wage in January.
