WE STRUCK AGAIN
Turkish F-16 jet fighters cast the second blow on the terrorist organisation PKK at the same day Barzani was in the region. Targets in the north of Iraq was bombed this time at a moment the terrorists were not expecting any operation as it was a religious holy day and the day time. The terrorist inn at Cemco where our kidnapped soldiers were handed to us, was also destroyed.
U.S. satellites supplied surveillance showing PKK terrorists gathering in two locations. Turkish intelligence units confirmed the targets. Turkish Air forces bombed the terrorists for 35 minutes.
Later Turkish artillery situated in southeastern town of Cukurca shelled the targets for 15 minutes. It was rather meaningful for the strikes to coincide with Barzani`s visit to targets that had been hit during the earlier strike on December 16th.
CASUALTY TOLL OF DECEMBER 16TH:
HUNDREDS OF TERRORISTS RENDERED INEFFECTIVE
General Staff answered those who were belittling the air strike of December 16th and said, "that day hundreds of terrorists were rendered ineffective. Footage will be made public in Turkey and the rest of the world."

35 MINUTES WITH 16 JETS
Turkish Armed Forces staged the second biggest operation against terrorist camps. F-16 and F-4 jets bombed many PKK camps particularly those in Zap. A week after the operation staged on Mount Qandil on December 16th, PKK camps were again the target of the Turkish Armed Forces. 16 jets joined the 35-minute operation. The United States once more gave permission to Turkish jets. Immediately after the air strike, Turkish artillery units pounded the same targets. The General Staff said, "the terrorist organization PKK will learn through experience that north of Iraq is not a safe haven any more." Sources in the region said the air strike targeted many PKK camps across the border.
ISTANBUL IN 24TH PLACE AMONG CAPITAL CITIES IN WORLD
"The Independent" newspaper put Istanbul in the 24th place among the capital cities in the world. The newspaper carried out a survey regarding economic and cultural aspects of 60 cities, and London topped the list. Istanbul became the 24th with 25 points and overtook Sydney, Munich, Vancouver, Frankfurt and Dubai.

The General Staff announced Turkish jets bombed the north of Iraq. Turkish air forces bombed various targets that belonged to the terrorist organization PKK in north of Iraq between 2:25 and 3 p.m. on Saturday. Hundreds of terrorists were neutralized, the General Staff said.
ITALIAN GIANT FABRIC FIRM BECOMES 50 P.C. PARTNER OF IPEKYOL
Turkey`s Ipekyol apparel brand will become 50 percent partners with Italian giant fabric firm Miroglio. Ipekyol has been negotiating with various foreign companies for six months, and it has agreed with Miroglio to become 50-50 partners. The deal will be concluded in the second week of January. Miroglio is among the top ten Italian textile companies, and it has an annual business volume of 950 million Euro.

WE WILL NOT ABANDON THEM TO THEIR FATE
The hard times Jak Kamhi`s company Profilo Telra is going through, moved Minister of Industry Zafer Caglayan.
"I heard of the hardships Profilo Telra was going through from VATAN and I called Jak Kahmi. We will meet after the holiday. I also invited Mustafa Koc and Nazif Zorlu. We will discuss the problems of the sector," said Caglayan.
Minister of Industry Caglayan said TV set producers were under a threat from the Far East.
"We can not abandon the electronics sector --with 20,000 employees and an export volume of 5.5bn USD-- to its fate. The PM is highly sensitive about this," said Caglayan.
"OZGURLUK" 2ND BEST SONG OF 50 YEARS
Zulfu Livaneli`s (Turkish singer and music composer) song "Ozgurluk" (Freedom) was chosen as the second best song of the last 50 years by Italian state television channel, Rai Uno. First the jury determined 700 songs, 15 of which made it to the final. "Ozgurluk" was chosen 2nd with popular votes.

SECOND BLOW TO PKK
After the crossborder operation it launched on December 16th, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) struck important PKK targets with land and air units yesterday. General Staff said the operations would continue, and its effects will be seen more clearly in the following days.
General Staff issued a press release yesterday and said certain people with ill intentions had made statements belittling the first operation. "According to intelligence, hundreds of terrorists were rendered ineffective," underlined the General Staff.
NO HOPE OF FINDING EMPLOYMENT
According to "the silent unemployed" titled research of Ankara Chamber of Commerce(ATO), the number of those who lost hope of finding a job between 2003 and 2006 rose by 740 percent. Long term unemployment rates among the youth rose to 33 percent from 20 percent in the same period. The number of those who had been looking for jobs for more than three years rose by 98 percent.

The jets bombed Zap region -- where the most strategic camps of the terrorist organization PKK are situated, and Cenco -- where the eight abducted Turkish soldiers were handed over. The General Staff said hundreds of terrorists were rendered ineffective.
FIRST PASSENGERS TO BE 500 SAND BAGS
The high-speed train will launch test runs between Ankara and Eskisehir in the first week of the new year. The train will travel at 30 km/h at first, and test runs will continue till it reaches 275 km/h. 70-kilogram sand bags will be the passengers in the test runs.

SECOND BLOW TO PKK IN THE NORTH OF IRAQ
Turkish Armed Forces launched the second air strike to PKK targets in the North of Iraq yesterday. 20 f-16 and f-4 2020 jet fighters pounded targets with laser guided bombs weighing one ton each.
Turkish artillery units situated near the border shelled and blocked the escape routes of the terrorists. It was striking that the second operation where hundreds of terrorists were rendered ineffective coincided with Barzani`s visit to parts of Kandil mountain that had been hit during TSK`s first strike on December 16th.

HE FOUND REMEDY TO EXHAUST GAS POISON, EUROPE IS AFTER HIM
A Turkish inventor has developed a new device that enables 30 percent of fuel saving in vehicles. Talat Mollaoglu is now on agenda in Germany and Austria. The Ege University and Istanbul Technical University (ITU) are approving the invention which reduces the exhaust gas poison. Giant holdings are now in a race to buy the device that has an international patent.
35-MINUTE OPERATION FROM F-16s ON NORTH OF IRAQ
Turkish Armed Forces staged a new cross-border operation on Saturday. The General Staff said the armed forces hit important targets of the terrorist organization PKK in north of Iraq. The operation took place between 2:25 and 3 p.m. on Saturday. The General Staff said the jets accomplished their mission and returned to their bases safely. The artillery units pounded the same targets between 4:55 and 5:10 p.m.
