WASHINGTON D.C. - Turkish State Minister Besir Atalay departed from Washington D.C., the United States late on Saturday.
He will return to Turkey via New York.
Atalay represented Turkey at a meeting between the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan to revive the road map process between Israel and Palestine.
He also met with representatives of Turkish community in the United States.
The scheduled meeting between the delegation and U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell was cancelled because he was paying visits to Italy and France. The meeting will take place later.
