ANKARA - Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITC) Turkey Representative Ahmet Muratli met on Friday with leaders of Turkmen tribes who came from Iraq.
Noting that the contribution, which Turkmens made in protection of Iraq's unity and territorial integrity, was undervalued, Muratli said that unfortunately all rights of Turkmens were undervalued and violated.
Muratli said that a Turkmen technocrat's taking part in interim government was pleasing, but it was distressing that Turkmens were not given place in the government with a desired ratio.
Muratli said that they demanded vice-presidency or deputy prime ministry during the forming of new interim government and he added that they were also expecting three ministries.
Noting that they would continue their actions in line with democratic ways to voice the rights of Turkmens, Muratli said that they wanted their views to be taken into consideration for the future of Iraq and they should be given opportunities.
